History

Hanover Property Company was founded in 1984 by Richard E. (Dick) LeBlanc. Initially the company focused on retail shopping center development, utilizing Dick’s previous experience in the North Texas brokerage market. When Walter Damon joined Hanover in 1992, the organization expanded into single-family residential development. Walter brought extensive experience and knowledge of residential markets, gained through his affiliation with Centex as DFW Land Manager and his work with a prominent brokerage group, where he specialized in tracts for land development.

Hanover’s focus on master-planned and mixed-use residential development has yielded impressive results. The firm has developed several award-winning communities in some of DFW’s most desired locations.

Today, Hanover continues to expand its scope of development activities and investments having added commercial retail, multi-family, self-storage and mixed use land development properties to its portfolio.
